Dr. Chong Shao was born and raised in Beijing, China and immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1998. He grew up in Iowa City, Iowa supporting the Iowa Hawkeyes and eventually completed his undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Iowa. Read more >

Dr. Michael Warner is a native of Anamosa. He graduated from Anamosa High School in 1977 and went on to attend Coe College in Cedar Rapids, completing his studies in 1981. Dr. Warner Graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1985. Read more >

Dr. Katie Nagel was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Xavier High School and went on to Mount Mercy College, where she graduated with a degree in Biology. Read more >
Front Office Administrators

Tasha was born and raised in Anamosa and it’s where she and her husband, Ross, are raising their two daughters: Lexah and Olivia. She attended Kirkwood Community College in 1997 where she received her Associate degree in dental assisting. She later attended NICC where she received her dental assisting expanded function certificate.
Tasha began working for Jones County Family Dentistry as a dental assistant in 1999 (then called Warner Family Dentistry) before applying her knowledge and skills and transitioning to the front office.
When not working Tasha enjoys cheering on the Anamosa Raiders and Iowa Hawkeyes. She and her family can often be found golfing at Fawn Creek Country Club. Tasha enjoys being able to form long lasting relationships with patients and helping them have excellent dental experiences.

Beth graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 1998 with an associate degree in dental assisting and received her dental assisting expanded function certificate from NICC in 2005. She enjoys helping patients understand and utilize their dental insurance. Her main goal is to make sure our patients receive a positive dental experience.
Beth has lived in Monticello her entire life. She and her husband, Dean, have 3 kids: Kelsey, Reese and Kyle. Dean and Beth co-own two local businesses: Kardes and The Jitney. She enjoys kayaking on the Maquoketa River, hiking on all the local trails and spending time with her family.

CJ came to Jones County Family Dentistry in 2014, after spending 26 years as a middle school teacher. She is now using her knowledge and skills in an administrative capacity in the dental office. She spends her days helping out with the details of running and office and enjoys the challenge of working with insurance. Her favorite part of working in the practice is getting to know the patients.
CJ spends as much free time as possible with her husband, children, and grandson, and also loves to travel, then come home and try out new recipes. In her downtime, you’ll usually find her with her nose in a book.

Hailing from the “City of Brotherly Love,” Megan graduated in May 2007 from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor in business administration and a major in marketing. Upon graduation, she began a career in her hometown in business development and sales in the modular building industry and moved with her company to Orlando, FL in January 2009. While in Florida, Megan met her husband, Dillon who is from Wyoming, IA. They moved to Anamosa shortly after they were married in 2013. Megan has been working in the dental industry since 2014 and is currently an insurance specialist.
Outside of the office, Megan can be found with her husband, Dillon, and their 3 children; Sullivan, Murphy, and Róisín. They enjoy being on the farm and traveling.

Emmi was born and raised in Monticello, Iowa. She is currently attending Kirkwood Community College to receive a degree in dental assisting. She has a passion for helping people and has felt right at home at the front desk.
Emmi loves to see new places through traveling. You can always find her with a cup of Starbucks coffee and a delectable from Chic-Fil-A. She bleeds black and gold for the Hawkeyes.

Paige grew up in Jones County surrounded by friends and family, she graduated from Anamosa High School in 2006 and Luther College in 2010 with a BA in Communication Studies. After college Paige moved to Des Moines where she held a variety of marketing roles at a group of radio stations, an advertising agency and a large insurance company. In 2019 Paige moved back to Anamosa and continued to work in strategic marketing. She married her husband Kevin in 2020 and joined the Jones County Family Dentistry team in the fall of 2022. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing at Fawn Creek, gardening and baking.
Hygienists

Wendy is a Monticello native and has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years. She graduated from the University of Iowa and has a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene. Taking care of her patients, who are now like family, has been a joy in her life.
The other joys in her life are her husband, Matt and her two sons, Ben and Zach. When she isn’t at work, you can find her riding around in their Jeep Wrangler, cooking and spending time with friends and family often at local Monticello restaurants.

Heather was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College with an associate degree in dental hygiene and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2016. Heather enjoys educating her patients in the importance of oral hygiene and loves getting to know her patients on a personal level.
Heather lives in Cascade, Iowa with her husband, Curt, their daughter Savannah and their puppy, Moo Moo. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Lynsey grew up on a farm north of Mechanicsville, Iowa. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College with associate of applied science degrees in dental assisting and dental hygiene. She has been a registered dental hygienist since 2015. She loves helping our patients improve their oral health and enjoys making a personal connection with patients.
Lynsey lives in Amber, Iowa with her husband, Tony, and their three boys: Donovan, Colt and AJ. She enjoys spending time with family, friends and her two Boston Terriers, Scout and Jersey.
Assistants

Colleen was born and raised in Anamosa. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College with her associate degree in dental assisting in 2001 and her expanded function certificate in 2016. Colleen enjoys working alongside the doctors to provide education and great dental care to all our patients.
Colleen and her husband, Kyle, raise their two children, Ashtyn and Ryker, along with their two dogs, Copper and Lacy, in Anamosa, Iowa. In her free time Colleen enjoys watching her daughter dance with KM Dance Company, golfing and doing home improvement projects.

Emily graduated from Kirkwood Community College with her associates degree in dental assisting in 2014 and her dental assisting expanded function certificate in 2020. She loves dentistry because it is a profession which helps people stay healthy and feel good about themselves.
Her free time is spent with her husband, Tyler, their three children, Adriana, Kellan and Elaina and their two dogs. In the summertime she enjoys taking her children to the park, swimming and boating.
